BRANDAN WRIGHT HEADED FOR NBA

Six foot nine inch freshman Brandan Wright has announced his intention to enter the NBA draft, though he has not yet hired an agent. The decision comes as little surprise as he is projected to be a top 10 pick on June 28.

IT'S COOL TO STAY IN SCHOOL

The 2007-2008 season looks promising after the recent announcements that freshman guards Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington and sophomore forward Tyler Hansbrough will return to UNC next year. Freshman forward Brandan Wright has yet to decide whether or not to return. Of course, we hope he follows the lead of his teammates and returns to Chapel Hill for one more run at the national championship.

TYLER HANSBROUGH A NAISMITH TROPHY FINALIST

Tyler Hansbrough has been named one of four finalists for this season's Naismith Trophy. Presented by AT&T, the Naismith Trophy is awarded to the Division One basketball national player of the year. Hansbrough represents the ACC's only finalist and is joined on the ballot by Kevin Durant of Texas, Acie Law IV of Texas A&M, and Alando Tucker of Wisconsin. A fan vote will account for 25% of the final selection process. Carolina fans have until March 31 to get a ballot by texting "VOTE" to "87654" from any wireless carrier. The winner will be awarded the trophy April 1st in Atlanta, GA... good luck Tyler!
